Hotel management group promotes Sarasota leader | Business Observer

A new Sarasota-based vice president has emerged at the Scarlett Hotel Group.

After a few years with the hotel management company, Danika Smith-Josiah is the new Regional Vice President of Operations. In her role, she will provide necessary support, training and guidance to hotel general managers within SHG, which has offices in Chicago and Nashville and operates hotels across the United States.

“Danika’s perseverance and leadership defied the immense challenges presented to her during her three years at the Hampton Inn Sarasota Airport.” said Rob Sadoff, director and co-founder of SHG, in a press release. “Zio, Andrew and I are incredibly grateful for the sacrifices she has made during this time to keep her team together and face unimaginable adversity. She truly inspires everyone to be their best self. and we are blessed to have her as a teammate and friend.

Smith-Josiah gained nearly 10 years of industry experience working at InterContinental Hotels Group as a corporate trainer and general manager before joining SHG in 2018. She started as a general manager before moving up the ranks to become director of learning and development.
