McKibbon Hospitality, a Tampa-based hotel management company whose portfolio includes properties in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia and six other states, has promoted Kiel Lombardo to the newly created role of vice president of restaurants.
According to a press release, Lombardo has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to his promotion, he served as Food and Beverage Manager at McKibbon. Prior to joining McKibbon, he was executive chef at the Luminary Hotel & Co. in Fort Myers, where he oversaw several dining outlets, including Dean Street Coffee Roastery, Ella Mae’s Diner and Beacon Rooftop Drinkery.
“Kiel is a talented and experienced chef and hospitality leader who is poised to take our in-house food and beverage team to new heights,” Randy Hassen, president of McKibbon Hospitality, said in the release. “We congratulate Kiel on this well-deserved promotion and look forward to growing our food and beverage presence under his leadership.”
Lombardo is also the founder of RL Hospitality Consulting, a restaurant design and branding company. He founded and co-owned Platt Street Borough, a restaurant in South Tampa, and served as Director of Chefs at Roy’s Restaurant, also in Tampa.
